God or fiction?

Everyone watches movies. It is considered a simple and innocent pastime of evenings, specially weekends. But is it really so? How innocent are the movies after all?

I love watching movies. Takes the thoughts off from the current problems of my miserable life. But how healthy are they actually. How many hours a day, a week, a month, a year does one spend watching tv and/or movies? I'm quite sure, my life contains years of watching movies, instead of hours. I have a huge collection of them, and I watch them over and over again. But what is the message that they send? After all, we are what we see, eat and hear. Everything around us affects us and our ways of thinking and living.

When I was about 11-13 years old, I started to read these books, that were probably not meant for my aged little girl. By that time, I had already watched every single Bond movie that there had been published (after all, their age limit is somewhere in 15). I specially got absorbed in fantasy novels written by David Eddings. They were imaginary and fun with action and all that a kid at that age would want. After reading all of his publishings by that time, I got somewhat scared and realized how bad all the fantasy books could be for a girl still growing, and quit that habit. But turned my attention to other books, which can't be said to have been much better, with all murders and 'soft porn'.

From that day on I didn't read any fantasy books, only watched a looooot of movies, which just may be fantasy or fiction, which is basically the same. It was not until about a year ago when I saw the Harry Potter movies that had been released so far. The first two didn't really impress me, but when I got to the third one, I was hooked. I watched all of them and read the books also. After Harry Potter I got absorbed in Eragon. Now that you start to think about it, along the years I actually couldn't stay away from the fantasy, but had been watching a lot of movies with nothing but fantasy in them. I've probably seen most of the well known fantasy characters on screen. Including all cartoon and novel characters; Batman, Superman, Spiderman, et. Zorro in a way is refreshingly normal, since in the original version, there is no superstitious acts, only a man with a lot of talent to stand up for the people.

What is then so wrong about fantasy? When you go to a bookstore or library to the fantasy section, you should automatically know that what you're about to buy or borrow is complete fiction with nothing realistic in them. What could be wrong in detaching yourself from the reality to fantasy and to forget your current problems?

Harry Potters are complained to be hazard and not recommendable books, among some Christians. The books are popular among children and also adults. But what are the effects of the book series? Every successful movie includes a lot of fan products and lots of sidekicks. People buy these to become their hero, their idol. Idol then again is, according to dictionary, an image of a divinity, false god, a representation or a symbol of a deity or any other being or thing made or used as an object of worship ( Webster's third new international dictionary, 1993). This is what makes it dangerous. Children with no guidance to any better idolize what they are allowed to see and watch. Adults with no firm believe in anything don't have direction of right and wrong, as long as the children obey them when needed, don't guide their children in any direction and don't warn them of any danger that may lie in believing fantasy. In America, I hear, in universities, they have started to play the game invented by Harry Potter's writer, Quidditch. Of course, in the books, this game would require flying, but since it is humanly impossible, they have somehow bypassed this little inconvenience. Also role playing is very popular. Specially in the UK children take a huge interest in Harry Potter role playing. But the question is, how healthy is role playing? A game where you identify as one of the character. And what is the point where too much is too much? When the children just imagine to be a which and use magic, or the point where they start to practice real magic with indifference to the consequences of their actions. After all, the world believes there is two kinds of magic, white and black, where black is the satanism and white is just ordinary, non-dangerous magic. There is no white or black magic. There is only magic which comes from the same source, the Devil.

I don't object to reading fantasy novels, as long as the reader knows where they stand; what is real and what is not, what is right and what is wrong, what can be done and what cannot be done. As long as they remember what is good and what is evil. Most of the people, even Christians, want to believe that you can choose to take some of this and some of that, but not that and not that. They do not realize that there isn't a third choice in the world. There is either God or Satan. There is no third field to choose from. You either choose God, or if you don't, you choose the Devil. So where does these passive Christians stand in? They do not take an interest in God, but not in Satan either. Isn't that exactly what the devil wants? He doesn't want to be the only one burning in hell. He takes as much people with him as he can, and those are the ones that don't keep their candles burning and take care where they are going. Those are the passive Christians who believe in God, but then again don't care about it.

The problem of the world is that they don't want to believe. The western culture has turned into paganism itself. At least the Muslims still believe in their cause. The Christians have forgotten what their's is. Their current believe is being good looking and rich and celebrity. People worship those who have money and power and undermine those who actually have lives and reason to life for.

This people worship is seeing in all of the fantasy movies. Their main point is, that because praying God doesn't bring answers, there is a human, with extraordinary powers, who can save the world from the evil. in Star Wars there is Luke Skywalker who 'has the power' to face his father 'Darth Vader' aka Anakin Skywalker and the Dark Lord, and defeats them and saves the universe. In Harry Potter there is Harry Potter, the young wizard, who has something else than what the rest has to defeat 'Voldemort' aka Tom Marvolo (or what ever) Riddle aka 'The one that must not be named'. In Eragon, there is this young boy, Eragon who finds a dragon egg that hatches to him and he receives powers through her to defeat the evil ruler Galbatorix. Also along the way he has to fight his brother he didn't know existed and his inheritance. In Lord of the Rings there is Frodo Bagings who has the unbelievable tolerance for the Ring and thus saves the world from the Eye. The list goes on forever. They are all claiming the same one thing. There is no God to believe in. The God we should worship is somewhere amongst us. No unseeing God can save us from the evil and terror on the planet. Only a man we can all see and worship can defeat the evilness of the world.

The storyline is old and used. And it is always based on the one and same story from the bible. Christ our savior was born on earth, a man amongst us came and defeated the evil. The only problem is, that the one and only savior has already been born. And he was born of God, not from human conceiving. And he died and rosed from the dead, and he lives on. Still the people don't believe it, and keep on creating new fictional characters to save themselves from the boredom and dullness of their lives. Boredom, as I have said to some of my friends, is a self inflicted state, where the person is not sensible enough to do anything. If you are bored, do something about it. The boredom is only in that one person, only because they don't do anything or have the sense to do anything.

[spoiler: if you haven't read the ending of Harry Potter and don't want me to spoil the ending for you, DON'T READ THIS CHAPTER]
The last book of Harry Potter ended much as I suspected it to end. I didn't see that there would be a horcrux inside the character, but I knew he would somehow be killed by Voldemort and still live to tell the tale, and have some sort of conversation with the already-dead Albus Dumbledore to explain the whole situation. This is the biggest reference to the bible that I have come across reading fantasy novels. The writer actually equalizes Harry Potter to God who was born on earth and died for the cause of all the people, as the main character does in the end of the book, and still rises 'from the dead' to save the day and kill Voldemort.

No wonder children these days don't believe in God nor want to read bible. Bible is after all, a very old book, which main plot everyone already knows, specially from the books they have already read, but without any excitement. The bible tries to give impression to follow Gods loving ways and teachings, but people these days are looking for violence and action. You can't find anything calming these days from the television. Everything is plotting against each others and killing or stealing from them. All the music is filled with hectic pulse and words of love which actually only indicate sexual conducts. Nobody believes in anything anymore. Fiction and fantasy is filling the heads of the children and boredom and nonsense the heads of the adults. There is something seriously wrong with this world.

Now is Christmas time, time of goodwill etc etc and time of Santa. How many actually realizes that when you rearrange the letters in Santa, you get Satan? People are worshiping the devil itself. A while ago I watched an episode of Bones and I learned a new meaning for Christmas. It is all about lying for the children. At Christmas time, it is okay, it is allowed, even recommended to lie to children, to make them happy and believe in things. This was said by an FBI agent (of course an actor) who was also acting a devoted catholic. What has happened to the ten commandments? All of those commandments are being broken and even recommended to be broken. What has this world come to?

Creating something

I haven't been drawing in a long time, and today I finally got myself to take out pen an paper and draw. The result of this drawing was the conclusion, that if we didn't have heads, we'd be lot easier to be drawn!!! Honestly, who needs heads?!!

Here's something else I drew some years ago. Don't know if it resembles the original picture/person. To me, there's a loooooooot of faults. Just, don't point them out to me. I already know they are there!! So, guess who!?! You'll never guess who's the guy above, so don't even bother!!

Then here's something else. I haven't used a lot of marker pen when drawing, so this is one of the few that I've drawn. This is pretty much what I see when I look out of my window.

Then here's something else. I was practicing my drawing with pastels. I've been told that I've been doing these characters since high school, but oddly enough, I don't have any name for them. So here's a task for you readers. Invent a suitable name for it. I'm open for suggestions.

These two have been drawn with normal color pencils.

Winter already?

Saturday morning I woke up as my niece is shouting downstairs about waking me up and talking that it's snowing. I haven't checked the weather forecast, so I had no idea that this was a possibility to happen. Anyway, too tired to get up and lazying in bed under the warm blankets is a joy. Eventually, my niece little by little gets the idea of coming upstairs and jumping on me. Luckily, I was awake. She starts talking about making a snowman, sliding with a sled or with a 'pefletti'. Nice, going to be having a busy day ahead of me.

Well, eventually I went out, where my mother and niece were doing their things and joined them. We did try out the swing that we have, then we went to try out pefletti. Was kind of hard, since there wasn't that much snow, the ground was being exposed and I had to pull her down the slope. I got tired of it after braking one pefletti and pulling her. Then we decided to make a snowman. I haven't done that for a looong time, so didn't really know what to do. Anyway, our first ball didn't succeed. The second one grew, but not evenly, so it had it's weak points. And to top of everything, we rolled a pile of my dog's very resent doings into it. It kind of smelled.

The third ball succeeded better, but putting it on top of the previous one, which wasn't the best ever was kind of tricky. Needed to support a bit. Then we had the third ball made, and vóila, almost ready. Then some sticks to the mouth and nose and eyes and the hands, and there was our first ever snowman. Without any scarf or anything. Don't have a top hat. Have a friend who has one, but don't think she'll be borrowing it that easily, for a snowman. After the snowman and running after our kittens, we slided a couple of times again, with a sled, and yes, once again, I pulling her down the slope. Today I went to see the snowman and it's lying face down, or side down, melting in the backyard. It would seem like the winter came and went, as usual.

Cars, oh wretched cars

Today, for the fourth or fifth time or more in my life, I have been glamorously towed home. I've had driving license for about five years and I've been towed almost as many times. My original day of eleven to six pm, stretched into more than nine hour cold agony and starvation. I haven't eaten but one chocolate bar in the whole course of those hours and three fourth of a liter of energy drink.

Those who know me, know that I have a huge problem with cars. I love them, I love to drive them and cruise along the way, but they just hate me. The only thing I get back from them is nagging behind my back, and occasionally in front of me, or worse, under me. Mostly the reasons have been for the car, but this time, it was utterly my fault.

For a long time, it feels, the cars have been pleasingly abiding me and haven't caused any trouble. Last time was in the summer, when my boss had to fix my car to work again. The problem was in the battery, not in the charger. It would have been a lot more difficult to fix. Still, the joke was, that my boss had to come and safe me from the town nearby. Not that it would have been embarrassing, but it was the third time during a weeks time that he had to come and save me. And not that this would have been too embarrassing, the previous summer he had had to save me once or twice. And yet still I love my car.

Usually, the problems have been the battery. Once it was the coolant that dropped to my feet and my father had to tow me home. I mean, it literally dropped all the fluids from the heater, whatever, inside the car under my feet. Luckily, I didn't have my feet under there at that precise moment. Another time I drove the car into a stump and eventually the tire broke, but I know how to change a tire so I didn't need my father to help me there. But other cases it has been the battery's fault. Somewhere last winter my car lost all the current power during my drive to a dance lesson. It worked until I got to my destination, but after I stopped the car, it didn't give even one sound. I phoned my father to help. When the lesson was over, my father came and we gave the battery some power and it started to work. I needed some petrol, and went to a gas station and father went on ahead of me. I left from the station, and in a very short while, the car stopped again, on the overtaking lane, at the beginning of a motor way, in the middle of the bridge and right in a curve. Once again I had to phone my father to help me and he had to change the battery to the car, right then and there, on the bridge, under the careful watch of Posankka.

I've phoned my father to help me with the cars more times than I can remember. And yet, I still don't seem to learn my lesson. Something is clearly wrong. Father says that I'm just careless, 'huolimaton'. Yep, that's what I am, a reckless driver, who hasn't been caught by the police yet. Starting to wonder how come that is. Luckily, my family doesn't run out of cars that easily. We still have some cars in the yard, making it look awful, but kind of helps when you 'ryssit' one or two of them.

This time it wasn't the battery. Today, when I had a low battery on a cellphone, today when I knew my brother needed my father's assistance, today when I hadn't eaten properly to have enough sense in my head, today when I skipped some lessons and received even more free time between classes to lose my mind, today of all days, I had to drive into a hole in the ground and dropped this bloody thingy what ever bloody cylinder it is that has bloody oil inside of it. Not did I only knock it out of its socket, but I broke the bloody thing that was holding it in its place. AAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!! Only one option, and that is ... to call my father.

The day doesn't end there. I had to wait for my father about an hour. Not that I didn't deserve it after wrecking the car, again!! The waiting starts to be normal to me. But the thing is, as I have told you, the car has a very bad battery. Therefore I can't keep myself warm by the car, but have to just try and cope. The other thing is that I have a very bad blood circulation in my hands and feet. And the thing is that the gloves don't warm my hands, even though they are leather, and the fake leather spike heeled shoes that I had on with only one pair of socks, doesn't really warm you at this time of year in my surroundings. Nothing else was the matter, just the bloodless toes.

Finally, after the wait, my father came, and he checked the place and what had happened and how badly it had happened and that all the pieces were with us. Then we had to push the car around and tie it to the other car to have it towed home. The line looked very short and especially in the down hills as the cars tend to roll freely when you have no gear on, my car really liked to make a pass on my father's car. Then I had to brake down and then the line would tuck and I would feel awfully uncomfortable. Finally, we got to the Shell where we had to turn to get home, and the bloody line got caught under my tire and the line snatched. Luckily, I had enough speed to roll the car off the road to the Shell. There, we had to retie the cars, with even more shorter line than before. We had uphill coming and my father even stopped to give a lift to our neighbor. On our last road around the stables, we stopped to let the neighbor go and continue our long journey home. But alas!! The hook that was holding the line to my car twisted badly and gave in and the cars were yet once again separated. At this precise moment, my father started to think leaving me stranded there, in the middle of the road. (Joking of course, neighbor joking that we shouldn't have given him a lift...)In addition there's another car coming towards us and we are blocking the way and the tie doesn't open. My luck, what a day. Finally, we get the car tied up, again, and we finally get to home. My car is almost in the middle of a thorny push and I have to climb out of there, but at least I'm home.

This all has been a very dull, very normal and very irritating event that yet again occurs in my life. The biggest problem is not that I have to call my father when ever the car is making a strange noise or that it breaks down in the middle of nowhere, but that during these events, which usually occur in the winter time, I am utterly and completely frozen when I finally get home. As once more, this evening. The one thing in my mind during the drive home, was the idea of placing my freezing toes straight against the battery in my room and staying there until I could feel something again. Finally, when I got my shoes off, I marched straight to my room, took all the socks off and placed my frozen, numb, bloodless toes against the battery. The worst part isn't that they were all white and numb, but that my nails were shining light violet, which seemed to my eyes close enough to black as my mood. For about half an hour and finally I could feel my toes again. It took only a battery with too much heat, woolen socks and two heated corn packages, and time. Yet once more I can feel my toes and keep them under three pairs of woolen socks.

I have a very big blessing of having a father who helps me whenever I'm in trouble and comes to my aid. I know it gives him trouble, but he doesn't show it to me and doesn't even speak about it. Many times I've asked him whether he still trusts to give me a car to drive and he replies with no doubt in his voice that of course he does. Also a big bonus is that he can fix the cars, or if he can't he finds a way to fix them, or buys a new one. I could write a book about my toils with cars and their annoying habits. Of course I'm not to blame, I'm just the driver, who was mistakenly given a license to drive. But for now, I'm home and hopefully I learned something today. If nothing else, the fact where that bloody hole lies.

Killing animals

I've been brought up as a vegetarian. Still, as the majority of people believe, fish is included in the vegetarian diet. So, if you go during a flight or into a restaurant and order a vegetarian meal, the biggest probability is that you get fish or chicken. So what's the big joke about? Everybody eats meat, why not us too? There was a time when I ordered a pizza in a pizzeria, and wouldn't take it if it didn't have any tuna. Well, things can change. Many of you know that I tried to become a cook, but since my teacher was so against of a vegetarian getting to his class, he kind of dropped me off. I still studied in that school for a year, and during that time I started to decline all fish products. If today you offer me something to eat, any meat, dead or alive, I will decline.

So, I became a lacto-ovo-vegetarian. Meaning, I'm almost like a vegan, but I use milk products and chickens eggs. Of course, those who ask, yes, I do use honey. I won't refuse it just because some thinks it's only for bees. I'm crazy about cheese, so I can't refuse any offer of that. But other than that, I try to use as minimum as possible. Mainly, my motto is that I won't be responsible for killing any animals, and acting like animals and eating animals. I don't believe in the evolution theory which describes human to be as primal as any other creature on earth who just by a coincident happened to gain brains. I believe that we were created as human, creatures above the animals, to guard and guide them. Not to use them as our slaves and objects of greed and hunger. The earth and it's ecological system was created for us, to protect us and to provide us with basic needs. So therefore, if we have a working ecological surroundings, why do we have to stoop to slaughtering animals?

What is it then that most pisses me off with meat eating? In farms, they use cattle to feed themselves and it's been done years and years? Do I think that killing an animal is wrong? Am I against using leather clothes? What's wrong with me?

Well, I have black leather gloves. Then I'm guessing that I probably own some other leather things, but I don't make account of it. I've had discussions about not killing animals with friends and still I'm in the between. I kill flies when I see them. Ants, I hate ants. Every spring they try to invade our home. Not gonna happen as long as I live. So I kill bugs. How about animals? They breed and their number growths if no one does anything about them. I'm still formulating my answer to that question, but one thing I can tell you for certain: I do not except hunting in the near forest, nor any other forest. But why am I against it them, if I don't object wiping bugs out? After all, they are animals. From hunting we can make a bridge to my opinion on guns and other fire weapons, which I have been recently conversing in the messenger. Not going to go to that issue today.

The thing that pisses me off, is that no one cares. They go to a fast food restaurant or any other restaurant and order something delicious. The point is that they don't have to see how the food is prepared and made and what's actually inside it. They don't care. Fast food restaurants make food in an assembly line. Everyone gets the same portion with the same context. This way, the animals are also slaughtered in the same space. And if this equation is correct, then they also breed animals, meat, in the same assembly line. This world breed animals for one purpose only, which is to feed the not caring stupid people who haven't even seen a live cow. The chickens are brought up in a little boxed where they can't even see the sky or breath fresh air. Bigs are born in the same little cubicle where they live among their own shit, until they are escorted to the executioner and into people's plaits. People breed animals with a stake in mind. What has happened to this world? A lot of grain is cultivated, so that the animals they breed for a stake can eat and grow their muscles. The more muscle, the juicier stake. With the amount of grain harvested for the animals, we could feed the whole third world. And people still think there is a problem.

How many people actually know how a hamburger is made? When they fry the stakes, it sheds blood. This blood is not thrown away but frayed in the bun. How are frogs legs made? The legs are ripped off while the frog is still alive. Otherwise they'll be tenacious. How many know how a veal cutlet is made? They first have to wait that a cow gets pregnant. Then they wait for sometime, but not till the calf is born. They take the calf from it's mother's womb before it's born, since at that point it's still limp and workable and they cook it for the customers. It is created only to be chucked out too early and fed to rich people. Do you still wonder why I became totally against meat?

Why don't I approve of hunting? I have a couple of forests around here and I sometimes take walks to them. Once we were doing this with my mother and sister. There's a field between two forests and there is this little island in the middle of the field. We went to see how things look from there and we found this wooden built landing behind two trees. A perfect place for prey animals when they try to cross the field unharmed. They wait in there in the darkness, and shoot their victims, without anyone noticing where they are. I can't stand injustice against animals. I watch these animals when they run across the fields near to my home, in an attempt to escape and survive. I see them when they are there even without being chased.

Animals are animals. But what justifies human to stoop so low as to act like them? The animals maybe stupid for not understanding what is ahead of them, but then again that's how the world was created. So that the humans would think and take care of the earth. Humans were given brains for a reason and majority of people on earth refuses to use them. This world has turned into egocentric unfeeling selfish brothel where people search for a moments ecstasy. No one cares what happens to the neighbors and other people, so why should they start thinking of overly excessive production of meat. They don't even care what they eat, just as long its protein. But soy they won't try, not even in the face of starvation. Not even the threat of a mad cows decease seems to thrust some sense into people's heads that something is wrong. Not any bird deceases or anything else can get people to think. They decide to be stubborn and hide their heads in the sand.

So how are people actually taking care of this earth. By breeding, preying and slaughtering the animals, killing the jungle and dragging down the atmosphere so that this earth is unlivable.

Depression gaining on me

Dull day gone by. My teacher though it good to keep only one hour lesson, so I drove 80km today for absolutely nothing. The only good thing in today has been the love of my life, also the menace of my life: my pets. I've been taking pictures and editing them, even though a lot of school stuff awaits. Well, so to say, here's a tribute to pets:

They really like climbing.

A nice welcome!

Then there's my dog who would be more than happy if the kittens took her to play also, but all she gets is an irritating hiss and claws.

We have these big black buckets under the leaders/boards to gather the rain water. They were all full, and the kittens were jumping and darting me, very close to the buckets, and then finally the other one jumped right in the water. All forgot that the cats could swim.

Going to put some more pictures to flicr.com.
Unfortunately some are private, so only my flickr friends and family can see them. (So take a hint and create a flickr account!!)

Spring gaining

A lot of things can happen during two weeks. Still it seems that nothing has happened to me. All my time seems to have gone to traveling between school and home, reading during nights and watching after my kittens. Nothing else seems to have been happening. And now when I finally finished the current book, I find it hard to concentrate on school and other stuff.

Those who know, know that my mother has sea buckhorn's (tyrni) in the backyard. At times some people come to pick them for themselves. Of course it costs then, but not that much as it would cost in the store. Last week, after my timetables had been totally demolished and altered, I was sleeping long since I didn't have school until afternoon. As usual, I let my dog out free, and it took me about 5 minutes to realize that there was a strange car in the yard and dog free on the grounds. Nothing happened and they got away without meeting my fearsome fruit eating bloodhound. In a couple of hours I found that there was a strange bike on the yard. Somehow this person had managed not to wake my dog and walk past her. The next visitor though wasn't that lucky.

I didn't hear a car arriving, but my very alert watchdog did notice it. Partially because she was outside, free. I hear this huge barking outside and start running there and calling my dog thinking that the person the bike belonged to hadn't been so fortunate with escaping twice my dog. Turned out that it was this member of our church, a man, whom has always been very friendly with me. I have a habit of meeting some of the members during holidays while shopping, and he is one of them whom I always seem to encounter. Still, our last meeting left me a bit shaken and wondering.

It was maybe last Christmas when I was shopping food for the occasion. I met him and started talking usual small talk, how's it going and what ye doing lately. One of the subjects lead to my single hood. I'm a future spinster in the making. He didn't really want to believe that and convinced that if he wasn't stuck in unhappy marriage and if he was years younger than what he was currently, he would take me. Also while trying to convince me, he grabs me in one hand sideway hug, also grabbing my breast. Don't remember how I finally got rid of him, but still changed a little my view of him.

So, there I am, standing over arms length away and calling my dog to calm down. I've all forgotten about our last meeting, but some things bring that little scene back to my mind. For a long I get to keep him away and almost get rid of him, but then my half brained bloodhound decides that it's nicer to keep the quests company than follow me back inside. So, there I am, running after the dog with almost nothing but pajama on, and just too close, so the man gets to grab me again. This time though, not from my breast. Unfortunately though, the hand in my side starts dangerously wonder upwards, and I start getting enough of this dude. Somehow I struggle out of his reach, take my dog, and head inside. With a great relief I didn't have to meet him again.

A couple of days later when I arrived from school there is again two cars in the yard. Yes, the other one is the grabbing guys car, which is nicely driven aside so that everyone can get by it. The other car, is almost in the middle of the road making it a darn hard to get my car somewhat rationally, without causing any damage to the other car. I was so angry at that moment, that I made this mad decision to let my bloodhound stay free in the yard for the rest of the day. The elderly couple that owned the car, jamming the road, left with my dog giving them a little hard time. The grabbing guy left without a word and for my pleasure he didn't come to see if anyone was home. Also another thing with this grabbing guy is, that he hasn't payed anything from his pickings, yet he's been there already about three times. And no, he's not there for me!! I talked with my mother about him, and she told me to keep the dog aloof while he was around. My very good watchdog tried to bite him twice the day he did his second grabbing.

Well, back to more pleasant topics. My little baby gagagoogoo kittens. Oh, it's so fun and relaxing to watch them picker and play with each others. It's not fun nor relaxing to find the result of their actions, which usually tends to be pulling down curtains in my room and downstairs. Also the pots of the plants inside are a dangerous topic. Both of the kittens has a bad habit of competing which one gets to be on the chair. (Almost like saying 'This is my chair')

After the chair they jump on the table where I have my precious laptop. And no, I don't want them to touch it!!

They find the most interesting places to sleep in. Once I found the other one sleeping amongst our shoes. Before that I had been calling after him for about 5 minutes since I though my mother had managed to lost them. One of their favorite place is between my laptop and mirror.

There they like to play, sleep, picker and, unfortunately, make me nervous for the safety of my laptop. One single claw in wrong direction and... They just can't seem to live my computer at its peace. When they are not behind it, they are either on my lap or on the table and watching intensively where the mouse is pointing and going. They are watching the screen and preying the arrow. I'd remember the first time I noticed this was when the other one jumped and tried to catch it. Man, cave me a jolt. One other thing they love is to walk over the keyboard. Aaaaaaaaaaaaargh!!!

They are somewhat starting to come along with my dog, but still they have many disagreements ahead of them. And we'll see in time, whether one or both of them will get too tired and leave, as has so many other cats done before.

I found some nice music this week, Suski might be interested of the german jazz singer that I found, Roger Cicero. Also, reliving my youth and listening Andrew Lloyd Webber and his amazing musicals. Maybe this is enough of writing for the two missed weeks.

Kittens

A week ago my school started. The whole thing has been poorly organized making me more than usual reluctant to study. Specially when observing my time schedule. I have three days a week school, and on one of those days it's just hour and half. Then again Mondays will be intolerable, from 9am to 6pm, with three hour jump in the middle. Doesn't really motivate to study. The problem comes with the studies I do at home only. Will I remember? Will I give up, or do everything in the last minute? We'll see.

Week has been somewhat tiring, even though I haven't been in school much. I've had the most unusual rhythm, which consists of waking up early or late, reading late, worst up till 3am, and watching tv a lot. After reading the book, I can honestly say, that the way the Americans are doing movies from books, is awful!!! The movie was nothing like the original book, the blot had been taken into peaces, with additions of the screenwriters own scripting, which have absolutely nothing to do with the book. The lines are filled with the typical American lines with additional highlights and lameness. Can't complain about the actors, they just act what they are payed to act. Just that when ever an American films a book into a movie, they destroy pieces of the book. Just pisses me off...

Before summer I started missing our little cat. Started to think that a new cat would be nice. In Kallioniemi I came up with an opportunity to get one. The problem was, would mum and dad be ok with it. I visited home and found out that my mother had been thinking the same way. So, no problem anymore, who cares what my dad thinks, we always ignore them when it comes to our pets (mostly). So, finally last week I got a message from Minna, telling that I could collect my new cat. On Saturday we went to see my sister's family and also wondered the way to pick up a cat. We found the place, not without one wrong turn (which actually wasn't any turn, but missed turn). We arrived to find to striped little kittens hiding under tables and stairs. We observed them a little while, played with them, and finally decided, against my fathers wishes, to take them both with us. So, now we've got two little adoring, menace of kittens, who are doing their best to destroy my room.

On Saturday the trip home went smoothly, only little moaning from the kittens. When we arrived home, they were kind of waiting to get out of the cage, but somehow they decided to stay in the furthest corner of the cage, when my dog decided to get acquainted with them. There they stayed for about half an hour, when one one decided to eat. Then he played and relaxed. The other stayed near the cage for along time, and it took about the whole evening and night to adjust to the change. I heard that in the morning my father and mother were greeted with hisses. They had already gotten used to us by the time I woke up.

The Sunday was a merry-go-round. The kittens finally dared to come upstairs and see new places. They found a little save haven under my bed and under my borrowed leather couch, which is in danger of becoming their clawing tree... Also they found the curtains and flower pots very fascinating.
In the middle of the day the kittens finally dozed off. The grayer kitten agreed on sleeping on the bed, but the darker kitten had some troubles. He just had to get on the floor. Well, after I sat next to him, he had this sudden idea of getting on my lap and falling a sleep in there. That one seems to become a lap-cat. They slept a lot that day. In the evening I let the dog get upstairs, which wasn't such a good idea, since they started hissing and growling and hiding under the couch. They didn't get out of there in the next 30 to 45 minutes. Finally, they relaxed. The dog was get aloof and the kittens were escorted back to kitchen for the night.

In the morning, while I was preparing to leave for school, they rushed into my room playing and biting each others. Sadly, I had to leave them there. Hopefully, they don't claw all my curtains and bed, since they like to sharpen their claw to my bed. Also, I really hope they leave our plant pots alone!! There's gonna be mess when I finally get to home...

Peaceful living

Hóla,

I've been working on a school course this week. All about reading boring texts and summarizing them. Dull, dull, dull. One thing that you learn in my school is the usefulness of the Net and how to use copy-paste. I can assure that I know how to use it.

Last Thursday I went to Pohjanmaa with my sister and got our grandmother to visit us. We actually saw our cousins, whom we haven't seen in year and a half, and before that no one knows. We came back on Friday. Yesterday my sister took granny back home. My dog was down since people were leaving her. A little while later I dressed up and started to leave. My dog was so down that it took me a while to get her on the leash so she wouldn't run away while I was gone. Well, confident that everything was right, I headed to my car. Most of my friends know my lovely car, Audi. The one that broke down last summer, again, and didn't start without a new battery. Well, I sat in the car, put on the belt and turned the key.

    Nothing happened.

    I turned it again.

Nothing happened. Only this ANNOYING noise was telling me that the car thought that there is something wrong with oil. A disbelieve filled me as my gaze turned at 11:00. There stood the bright, yellow, third, Opel Corsa, with the right wheel. Not just a wheel that is right to turn and the car moves, but the wheel that is actually on the right side of the car. Not the left as the sensible people use.

So, back inside the house to get the key and then into the bright, yellow, third, right wheeled car. And vóila, it started. Then a little tug and turn and off we go. My dog looking at me as though I was breaking her heart.
Just after I'm off the yard my gaze turns to look at the gasoline meter. Oh, how red the world can look like. Do I even have the money? I need cash, do I ever have cash with me? NO!! Well, luckily, I had some money with me. So, of to the station. Just when I get out of the car and go to put the money into the machine, it's starts raining, and its really raining. So, I'm wet when I clime back into the car and off to shopping.

This Corsa actually has some benefits, even though it's right wheeled. It's got an automatic transmission. Last summer I had the opportunity to use my bosses automatic transmission car, and after a fashion, I could say, that I managed it. Problem was, that every time I was driving it, I felt sick. The car smells somewhat for smoke. It's not actually so bad, if you keep the window open. Well, Corsa has the same problem. Only, it smells twice as bad. I think the windows is also some what curved too much, that combined that with the smoke and the right wheel and being pissed, it kind of makes you sick. Thankfully, it stopped raining so I could open the window and breath some.

When I finally got home (wasn't gone that long), my dog was jumping and barking. I had to pull her a bit back so I could release her from her leash. I guess she though I'd leave her too.

Anyway, I've almost finished my course, which is only 3cr, and I don't even get a grade, and it's all about reading and cope-pasting... And I'm tired. So...
See ye later.

Moominworld

A day at the Moominworld (Muumimaailma)

Somewhat fifteen to twenty years ago I was sitting on a bench on a dock with my siblings and cousins and watching the sun go down. We had come too late and we had missed the Moominworld, it was closed or soon closing. Well, this time, I didn't stay to sit on the bench but walked right in with my mum, sister and niece. After a long wait I finally got in (well, the wait was unconscious). It was the last day it was opened and the weather was fine, not the best of sunny days, but still not cold even though it is on an island surrounded by the sea.

We left the car in the city and took the Moomin bus. No sign of entrance so we just went walking by the beach. Took about five to ten minutes to walk to the gates, which we finally found, and still no sign of check in. So, we walked across the bridge and finally in the island we found a place to pay our stay. So in we went and stayed there for couple of hours. We visited the Moominhouse, saw Moominpappa (Muumimpappa) sleeping on a maverick, hugged Little My (Pikku Myy), patted Snorks (Niisku), followed Hemulen's (Hemuli) flower expedition and witnessed Moomin (Muumipeikko), Sniffs (Nipsu) and Snufkin's (Nuuskamuikkunen) play card. We also saw Snorkmaiden's (Niiskuneiti) masquerade ball, which was also a dancing competition, which was won by Sniffs (Nipsu). Also saw their appearance at the theater Emma couple of times. All that we ate during that journey was softis, heh. Then we went home and decided with my niece that next year we come back. Well, sort of decided....

Me and a blog??

Right, me and a blog? Interesting combination. After all , I've got so few friends who might be interested to know what's going on in my life. Anyway, let's see how long this blog is going to stay on air. Don't even know what language I should use to write it. Hablo espanjol??

So, Kallioniemi is behind, the summer seems to be soon over, and the cruel autumn and winter is facing ahead. I have absolutely no idea what's going to happen, when and where, but trying to live day after day, doing absolutely nothing. So, while I'm trying to figure out what to do, I'm in the meanwhile creating this Blog and chatting in messenger with Kristina. By the way, got a new haircut today...

See ye all later,
