The first full day we spent in Wien we got to know the shopping street Maria Hilfer strasse. Oddly enough we found this church and statue in the middle of the crowd, the statue of Haydn.
On Wednesday was somewhat raining, so we decided to go for a museum tour.
We started out from Nature history museum. There was this big baby elephant, all made from iron of sorts.Then some mountain salt.
Some scary stuffed animals and skeletons of deceased species.
And some more skeletons.
Next in line was Albertina, the art museum, which was in one part of the emperor's castle, which is divided to many sections and attached to each others. There was exhibition from Monet to Picasso, and some Rembrandt. Wasn't allowed to take pictures, sorry. Then the Mozart statue was found in the little park in front of Albertina.
On Thursday we had a local guide showing us the places. Stephansdom's in the middle of the city, and has this bell tower from where you can see the whole city. The staircase was narrow, though I was told there are more narrow ones. And more longer.
Next in line was, which I as an old Sissi fan wanted to see, the Sissi/Empress Elisabeth's statue.
After tiring walk our guide went to his Swedish-lesson and we went to Strauss-statue in Stadtpark. There we were lying down on the lawn, watching this tree we didn't know what it was. There we came across the Queen of Sweden who wanted to know what the tree was, but as tourists, we didn't know and were dumbstruck. Didn't have the gut to take out a camera and take pictures. She was just few feet away, with her security detail...
On Friday we went shopping again, and in the afternoon we decided to try out these horse carriages. Cost a fortune.
On Saturday evening our guide took us to eat ice cream. The third place within the week. Gooooooood ice cream.
On Sunday we were invited to dinner with our guide's family and the landscape was nice.
After the big lunch we took a little walk in Scönbrun.
This is how we started every morning. In front of the mirror that was too heavy to be put hanging on the wall, and therefore was too low, so we had to sit on the floor to see anything from our waist up.
Lastly a scene from the sun above the clouds while flying home.
Btw. I hate this software.
It sucks.

Ei rouva itse, vaan mies hänen ryhmästään. Näytti kyllä pohtivan asiaa ennen kuin meiltä tultiin kysymään mitään. Mira bongas ensin turvamiehet ja sit vasta huomattiin et kenestä on kyse.
